During the recent New Year Holiday (1-4 January 2026), the 2026 Life Camp for Young Adults was successfully held at Honor's Haven Retreat & Conference in the suburbs of New York, USA. The event was co-organized by the Oneness Truth Foundation and Bliss & Wisdom Foundation of Culture and Education, centered on the theme of empowering our lives with mindfulness. A total of 50 participants and 74 volunteers from around the world gathered together for mindful awareness practices, art appreciation, forest healing, gratitude activities, music, and in-depth conversations. With both English and Mandarin translation provided, the camp created an inclusive space for self-discovery, interpersonal connection, and the cultivation of personal and community well-being. We began our time together with an icebreaker designed to help participants discover shared commonalities, laying the foundation for the activities followed. During Pages of my Life I, participants reflected on the direction of our lives and revisited the moments and experiences that truly matter. Through this process, we were reminded that whether we encounter joy or obstacle, we are never alone. There are always people who genuinely care for us. In the following days, each morning started with mindfulness practice. Through grounding exercises, body scanning, breath-counting, and walking meditation, participants cultivated a sense of calm. Luminous Mindscapes, a photography demonstration, invited everyone to immerse themselves in arts. Indeed, we see how approaching life with mindfulness brings forth harmony and beauty. The courses Constancy Amid Change and OMAK: Gratitude for a Joyful Life further guided participants to explore how wisdom, gratitude, and inner steadiness can help us navigate an ever-changing world. On the third day, Compassion for the World highlighted sustainability and introduced concrete steps including animal protection and plant-based diet. We were honored to invite Todd Friedman, founder of Arthur’s Acres Animal Sanctuary, to share their mission of rescuing animals in need. The day concluded beautifully with heartfelt conversations and a music concert, where participants expressed their wishes for the world through chanting and singing. On the final day, participants reflected on their experiences throughout the camp, revisited their life plans, and summarized the insights they had gained. In essence, the camp aspires to provide a platform where individuals from diverse backgrounds can communicate and support one another. Ultimately, we encourage each participant to carry mindfulness, compassion and a more positive approach when facing future challenges.
